Sarenna and Quinn prepare for their journey to the Opal Palace. They upgrade their attire to match the other nobles and improve their relations with members of the Imperium.
House Celeste approaches Quinn Adler, offering him control of Cartelencia in exchange for his support, should they gain control of Komorebi.
An elongated box is seen to be loaded onto House Kestrel’s Night Yacht, speculated to house Marquis Kestrel.
En route to the Opal Palace, the Night Yacht carrying House Mejora is sabotaged. The controls are locked, wires damaged, and bombs are discovered and defused by Xermal.
A sea creature attacks the ship, and another ship begins firing on them. Resha is injured during the chaos, losing part of her leg before falling into the sea.
Xermal, disguised as Resha, convinces the crew that he is the real Resha and that Xermal fell into the water. The yacht, badly damaged, arrives at the Opal Palace.
At the palace, Lord Adhirit and Princess Josifa greet them, with Sardaukar soldiers present. Lord Adhirit suggests the attack may have been by pirates, though Baroness Sarenna suspects the Spacing Guild.
Princess Josifa asks House Mejora to help identify a rogue agent in the Imperial Court, specifically gathering evidence against Earl Philip Hagal.
Lord Adhirit expresses his concerns to Quinn Adler, fearing his step-son’s involvement with Harkonnen agents - claiming they are all evil.
Information is gained around Indira Celeste; she has specifically made herself unnoticed amongst the Imperium Court. There are neither pros nor cons about her.
That night, a seeker drone attempts to assassinate Baroness Sarenna. Quinn Adler alerts the guards, who capture the drone operator, a palace staff member working under orders from the Emperor’s sister. Quinn tells the guards to kill the man as he has provided all the information he knows.
Sarenna manoeuvres her way into a meeting with Alma Upta in her office. Alma Upta admits that the Spacing Guild attacked the yacht as a test of House Mejora’s strength under the Amtal Rule. She claims she wants to put the Emperor’s rule through the same test.
Alma requests that Baroness Sarenna confirm Princess Wensicia’s role as a conspirator to the Emperor. Baroness Sarenna plants a bug in Alma Upta’s office, uncovering a conversation between her and Fenring about the Harkonnens, Atreides, and other critical matters.
Quinn requests from Sarenna that his offer from House Celeste be matched, otherwise he would have no choice but to declare his loyalty to House Celeste. Sarenna complies and offers Quinn control of Cartelencia and the formation of his own Minor House, for his full support and loyalty.
House Mejora receives a dinner invitation from Fenring, and the night then contains discussions of fulfilling the Emperor’s desires. Fenring reveals Resha’s body was found and is being treated. Baroness Sarenna offers Resha as a Ward of the Imperium, a beneficial arrangement.
All the houses from Komorebi are invited in front of the Golden Throne to present their gifts and offerings to the Emperor.
The Emperor is assassinated, and Empress Crystane ascends to the throne. After many negotiations and discussions, House Mejora is granted control of Komorebi!
Gains control of Cartelencia, forms House Adler, and promotes Lena Draven to chief scientific advisor. He focuses on genetically modified animals ("Adlermals") and builds black market and pirate alliances.
Becomes Reverend Mother Sarenna Clara Ganama and kills Reverend Mother Irena. She grants the previously owned Eigenshaw land to the tall, blonde woman they met on Kaitain.
Stays on Kaitain, learning with the Imperium princesses, gaining a cybernetic leg.
Sarenna forces Juliette Kestrel to step down, making Philippe Kestrel the new head of House Kestrel.
Becomes judges of change over Arrakis, overseeing the Harkonnens' new control.
