Quinn Adler and Baroness Sarenna are concluding the painting competition with Grunkle. Quinn suggests treating Grunkle to a night out, but Sarenna suggests attending a high-profile party instead to gain insider knowledge on other houses.
Sarenna performs her symphony flawlessly with a misericordia, catching the attention of a tall, blonde woman who invites them to a party hosted by Princess Wensicia and Corio Tagliari.
They secure invitations to the exclusive party and are transported via a secret party bus to a cloud-like structure made of clear crystal glass.
Drugs are distributed on the bus, and while Quinn partakes, Sarenna uses her Bene Gesserit powers to resist. Corio sings a melody that creates a sense of unity among the guests.
At the party, spice is released into the air, affecting Sarenna. She experiences a terrifying vision of the universe, witnessing a blooming flower that reaches every star in the galaxy as it bursts into flames. Screams, swords, bloodshed. Culminating in a nightmare involving an older Resha, and a mysterious column rising from the sand. A set of blue eyes is seen on the horizon.
Sarenna's scream disrupts the party, but she covers by claiming she saw a bear. Princess Wensicia approaches Sarenna, indicating she shared the vision and hands her a note with a location and time for a meeting.
A Sardaukar soldier confronts Sarenna, demanding the note, but she uses the Voice to defuse the situation, realising the soldier views the note as a threat.
Upon returning to their quarters, Xermal, disguised as Sarenna, is comforting Mallik. Sarenna dreams again of the blue eyes, waking up unrested for her meeting with Princess Wensicia.
At dawn, Sarenna meets with Princess Wensicia and Corio, who reveal they need her help to escape the planet. They know Sarenna has seen a vision of the galaxy’s future and request the use of House Mejora’s transport with heighliner access.
In return, they share information about an assassination attempt on the Emperor. Alma Upta has been secretly meeting with the Emperor’s sister, raising suspicions that she may be involved.
Quinn and Sarenna present the falsified records against the current Ur Director to the CHOAM representatives at the Golden Needle, CHOAM HQ. Sarenna pressures them to act, leading to a vote of no confidence and the Ur Director's removal. Elias Adler is promoted to replace him.
Elias takes Quinn aside for an investigation into the findings. The room becomes contentious when a falsified transcript implicates Quinn and Sarenna in premeditating the findings. Quinn argues the transcript is fake and demands Sarenna’s presence, but Elias blocks this, citing bias.
The situation escalates when Juliette Kestrel enters, claiming her family provided the transcript. Quinn counters by pointing out Elias's own bias due to his romantic involvement with Sarenna, leading to a tense confrontation.
Sarenna is eventually brought in and skilfully avoids confirming her relationship with Elias, discrediting the transcript. Juliette Kestrel tries to stab Sarenna with a concealed Slip Tip but is thwarted, causing the CHOAM representatives to side with House Mejora.
Quinn, in a final move, expresses his full support for Elias as the new Ur Director, smoothing over his earlier outburst.
The process and support from CHOAM increases House Mejora’s succession score.
