The Guide, the Key & a Cube

Overview

Locations: A massive ritual chamber, a stormy mountain, a stone temple, and various dreamscapes.

Key Themes: Ancient conspiracies, catastrophic rituals, and a climactic confrontation with Nachahi, the spider.

Focus Areas: The group's harrowing experiences with Frau Gartner, Nachahi, and the portal to the stone temple.

The Setting: A hangar-sized room illuminated by a dim green light.

Walls lined with vines and crawling with thousands of white spiders.
A deep chasm with a glistening bridge spanning it, leading to a wall of inscriptions radiating green light.

The Inscriptions:

Written in Aramaic, Hebrew, Latin, and Greek, the phrases include: "The Dreams of the Father, shall become the Sins of the Son."
References to Lilith (Lilitu).

Frau Gartner's Ritual:

Jacob, gagged and bound, is led toward the green light by Frau Gartner.
Imelda lies unconscious, glowing faintly as blue IV tubes feed into her.
Thin, emaciated humans chip away at the inscriptions.
Frau Gartner whispers to Jacob: "You have such potential… now is your time to see why you truly exist."
Jacob's bindings are cut, and his hand is forced toward the centre of the inscriptions. Frau Gartner coaxes him: "If you open the way, perhaps this story can end in the way you want."

Imelda's Dream:

Visions of a stormy mountain with nude individuals bearing blue and green tattoos, standing in a stone circle.
A man hands out a fiery stone, cracking like glass with a shadowy figure surrounded by Hell Hounds.

Ellen's Dream: Sees her family, younger but weary, only to wake up and see a figure resembling her daughter.

Frau Gartner and Nachahi:

In flames, Frau Gartner tells Nachahi: "It appears all the pieces are in place."
Nachahi responds, blaming the servants of the cats for delays but claiming possession of both the guide and the key.

Imelda's Connection to the Past: Visions of Yahweh, a betrayal, and the Sages of Bahu banishing a woman (Lilith), leaving only a black cube.

Nachahi's Form: A massive spider-like creature with a human skull for a face, with hardened spider skin.

Through the Portal:

Jacob, coerced by Frau Gartner, passes through the portal to a stone temple with the group following.
A black cube sits on a tall plinth at the centre.
Imelda, using her unique powers, pulls Danny through space and time to the temple, where a fight with Frau Gartner ensues.
Nachahi is slain in the combat, and no information is gained from her dying words.
The Man from Isreal, as Frau Gartner, is also slain.

Key Events:

Jacob attempts to cast the Mark of Yahweh but fails catastrophically, causing waves of nausea and entering a dying state.
A robed figure appears, slows time with magic, and interacts with Nachahi in Afrikaans before stepping through a portal to a grassy plain with the black cube.

Nachahi Autopsy: Under its spider shell lies a dark-skinned female form, arms elongated into legs, with an extended neck and a stomach full of brain tissue.
Fates of the Group and Allies:

Ellen: Kills Nachahi without gathering any information.
Imelda: Gains camera eyes, partially restoring her vision.
Sarah: Despite best efforts, Sarah succumbs to her injuries after 12 days without food or water.
Dr Bradley and Silver: Found dead in Southampton under mysterious circumstances.
Frau Gartner's Necklace: A relic depicting a Moon above a sea of tentacles.

The group receives a telegram from Jackson Elias, summoning them to New York for a new investigation.

The Role of the Black Cube: How does the cube tie into Lilith's imprisonment and the larger conflict between the Sages of Bahu and the servants of the cats?
Nachahi's Origins: The connection between Lilith, Nachahi, and the broader conspiracies involving the Weiß Maus drug.
Losses and Betrayals: The deaths of Sarah, Dr Bradley, and others suggest a larger, unseen force targeting those involved.
