The line at Kalisz collapses and a scratch squad is cut loose with a VIP in tow, mushroom clouds rising on every horizon. With two of their own badly hurt, Hurricane leads them into the ghost town of Kępno hunting for medical supplies - and finds a Soviet patrol instead. A rooftop ambush leads to a gain in resources, and the squad start making their way towards the area of Wrocław along main roads.

En route to Wrocław, a blown tyre strands the squad within sight of unknown lights in the treeline. A night of wild dogs, and a torn-open supply store quickly leads to an armed patrol on horseback, and an escort into Lakovia - a timber settlement in a forest clearing ruled by a 'Prince'. Bread, a poached egg, and an audience ends up costing them the HUMVEE, most of their supplies, and two guns they could least afford to lose.
