Councillor Laka'chantu, known throughout Veridia as The Eagle Lord, is regarded as one of the greatest living wizards and has served as Ardgan's foremost authority on magical education for many years. A native of Veridia, he is renowned for accepting only the most gifted apprentices, many of whom have gone on to become accomplished mages in their own right. Although technically a member of the council, Laka'chantu rarely involves himself in civic politics, preferring to devote his time to magical research and the advancement of arcane knowledge. His ever-changing residence and habit of appearing only when absolutely necessary have become the subject of countless local stories

Councillor Leana Thromburt is the proprietor of Parliament of Pigeons Postal, Ardgan's largest owlery and pigeon post service, which has connected communities across Veridia for decades. A supporter of Hegelian interests, she is recognised for her entrepreneurial spirit and dedication to improving communication throughout the Free State. Outside of council duties, Leana has earned a reputation for her mischievous sense of humour, often entertaining herself in Ardgan's bustling marketplaces. She is a regular patron of The Crested Clockmaker and is well acquainted with many of the city's notable figures. Though outspoken and occasionally unconventional, Councillor Thromburt remains one of Ardgan's most recognisable public personalities

Councillor Lumunkulin 'The Bold' is an erudite gelatinous ooze who rose from Ardgan's sanitation services to public office following the widely discussed Te'ah-luhia Incident. Accompanied almost exclusively by their loyal familiar, Fast-hands - a dry and misty Black Crested Warbler - they remain one of the council's most distinctive members. Outside politics, Lumunkulin is Ardgan's longest enthusiast of whittling and an enthusiastic inventor, best known for the Crown of Unnecessary Laughter, a trowel-powered device. Council proceedings involving Lumunkulin frequently conclude with passionate calls for legal protection of pantoast under Ardgan law, a position they continue to champion with unwavering determination.

Councillor Piter Krondike is a prominent businessman and master confectioner whose sweets are enjoyed throughout Ardgan and beyond. Known for creating popular treats such as lemon drops, strubard & passionmelon sweets, and the famous stick rok, he has built a thriving commercial empire from his craft. Krondike is a loud and energetic presence within the council chambers, often making his opinions known with little regard for decorum. Accompanied by his traditional soul animal, an elegant white Maine Coon cat whose refined demeanour stands in stark contrast to his own. Though his methods can be divisive, few question the success he has brought to Ardgan's confectionery trade

Councillor Rogveld Peppersnip is a wealthy aristocrat with longstanding ties to the Gronan League and has served on Ardgan's council for many years. A passionate advocate for civic maintenance and urban development, he oversees responsibility for several of Ardgan's major thoroughfares and is frequently seen conducting personal inspections of the city's cobblestones. Distinguished by his grand robes, impressive moustache, and ever-present monocle, he is one of the council's most recognisable public figures. He remains a strong supporter of closer economic cooperation with Gronan interests

The Sutak Sisters (they / them)

The Sutak Sisters jointly serve as a single representative on Ardgan's council and are well known throughout the city for their successful chain of dessert houses - widely credited with introducing crème brûlée to Ardgan. They are almost always accompanied by their three familiars - a cat, a hawk, and a dog - which, like their owners, are bound together by shared bandages and bear an uncanny resemblance to the Sisters themselves. Due to the effects of mummification, their speech can be difficult to understand, occasionally causing confusion during council votes and debates. Nevertheless, their business acumen, and longstanding service have earned them considerable respect amongst merchants and fellow councillors alike

Having spent much of his early life travelling with performing troupes and merchant caravans, Skorn brings a broad perspective to discussions surrounding trade and community affairs. A committed supporter of Gronan interests, he frequently advocates for independent traders, artisans, and small businesses operating throughout the city. Outside of council duties, he is often seen accompanying his partner, the high-elven merchant Ky'ra, with whom he shares a well-known relationship

Councillor Transavald IX is a Yuan-Ti statesman and one of the council's foremost voices. Known for his commanding presence, impeccable fashion, and disciplined approach to leadership. In recent years, Transavald has become increasingly supportive of Hegelian political interests and regularly argues for stronger ties between Ardgan and its powerful neighbour. His forceful debating style and unwavering convictions have earned both admiration and criticism amongst fellow councillors. Regardless of political affiliation, few dispute the influence he commands within the council chambers
